Recently, Schneider Smeltz Spieth Bell LLP (SSSB) donated eight antique law books, dating from 1846 to 1921, to the collection of The Cleveland Law Library. With a firm history that began with predecessor firms Mix & Noble in 1867 and Henderson & Quail in 1895, it should come as no surprise that SSSB’s library collection reaches back even further. All eight books deal specifically with Ohio and Cleveland laws, reflecting the firm’s deep roots in the region.
In making these books available to add to The Cleveland Law Library collection of print and electronic legal materials specifically directed to meet the needs of the practicing bench and bar, SSSB hopes that other law firms and members of the community will reference and benefit from them in their new home at The Cleveland Law Library.
