Jim Gianfagna is an associate attorney in the firm’s Business and Real Estate practice groups, focusing in the areas of Commercial Contracting, Corporate and LLC Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Real Estate Law.
He advises and assists closely held business entities and nonprofit organizations on corporate and transactional matters, including the formation of new entities and the preparation of operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and corporate resolutions. Jim has experience representing both buyers and sellers in complex mergers and acquisitions. Jim also provides counsel on a variety of contract related matters, including commercial contracting, non-competition and nondisclosure agreements, and independent contractor agreements.
Jim’s practice also includes negotiating, drafting, and counseling on residential and commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, financing, leases, and easements.
Jim received his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University, graduating cum laude in 2015. During his graduate career, he served as the Executive Editor for the Cleveland State Law Review and was President of the Student Bar Association. He earned both a B .A. Italian, magna cum laude, and a B .A. Political Science, magna cum laude, in 2011 from The Ohio State University.
In his free time, Jim enjoys playing and watching sports, cooking and trying new foods, traveling and being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
