Schneider Smeltz Spieth Bell LLP was formed two years ago by the combination of the practices of two of Cleveland’s oldest law firms, Schneider Smeltz Ranney & LaFond and Spieth Bell McCurdy & Newell. At that time, we also added Jennifer Savage from Walter Haverfield to our firm. We are proud to view our combined T&E practice as one of the strongest in Northeast Ohio, if not the entire state.
Our clients range from people of modest means to high net worth individuals, and present a wide array of interesting and intellectually challenging projects for the 15 of us in our practice area. We count among our partners 6 ACTEC Fellows, and many of our colleagues are actively engaged in various leadership, writing and speaking engagements, locally and nationally.
We have the need to fill two associate positions in our trusts and estates practice in our law firm.
One position could be filled by a person recently out of law school, or about to graduate.
The second position could be filled by someone more accurately described as a mid-to senior level associate.
We seek candidates with sterling credentials and a sophisticated level of experience which is commensurate with their years out of law school. Associates are expected to assist with existing firm clients and will be encouraged to develop new client relationships as well. We hope to find associates whose technical skills, high standards and personal qualities are a good fit with our firm.

As a mid-sized firm without the rigid hierarchy found in larger firms, we provide young lawyers with the opportunity to work with more senior lawyers, and to interact directly with clients. Each associate controls his or her own schedule and must practice time management in order to complete all projects. Associates work with all of the attorneys and discover what specialties they would like to develop in their own practice as time progresses and they gain experience.
